About
My name is Selena Pipijoga, was born in Serbia and moved to Sweden when I was two months old. I primarily speak Swedish alongside with English and Serbian. I have a high school degree as a Childcare worker alongside with my Pre School teacher degree from Malmö University. Beyond that I have also studied the English language in Bracknell, England. On my free time I like to go for long walks in the forest, listen to music and spend some quality time with my friends.

Experience
Experience I always wanted to work with children since I started high school were I studied to become a childcare worker. With five years of experience working as a childcare worker, I learned everything from preparing and organizing trips outside of the preschool, preparing and carrying out teaching in different forms along taking care the basic needs of the children. When I started my Preschool teacher’s degree, my knowledge in children, teaching and the importance of a good teacher grew in the 3 and a half years of studies. After finally finishing my degree, I am looking forward to using all this knowledge in practice.

Child's perspective
Child´s perspective My aim when it comes to children and their perspective is to build an environment where the child feels safe. Safe to be themselves, safe to ask questions, to grow and to learn. In practise this is seen in how we talk to the children and how we talk about the children. When we as teachers form the day to day environment we need to make sure that we look to the physical, emotional and social needs of the children. We can only expect children to be confident and curious when their needs are met. My goal going in to the profession of teaching was and still is to build confident and caring children for the next generation to come.
